of Exmoor. It is a 28 page, A5 , paperback book with map, 12 black & white
photographs and illustrations. The first part of the book focuses on Eleanor's
life
and the second is a comprehensive bibliography of her works. Eleanor lived in
Luccombe from 1946 until 1964, having previously spent much of her time in West
Somerset. An accomplished golfer, Eleanor was golfing correspondent for the Daily
Telegraph and the Morning Post. She also had a regular slot in the West Somerset
Free Press, 'Country Corner', in the 1960s.
Each of her works mentioned in the book has been given a 'rarity factor' according
to the ease with which it might be found. There is also a map of Exmoor showing
locations, both real and imaginary, that feature in some of her books.
