Nights Away Permits

The Horner Site is classified as a Green Field site under the terms of the Nights Away Permit Scheme. All
Scout Groups wishing to camp at Horner will have to supply a photocopy of the Nights Away Permit (or email a
computer scan of it) giving the required authority, and that person must attend the camp.

Nights Away Notification
Horner is a Somerset County Scout Council Camping site. Groups from outside the 'home' District are therefore not
required to inform the 'host' District Commissioner.

Event Passports
Camping events led by young people under 18 years, such as Patrol camps, Explorer Scout expeditions and overnight
hikes will require an Event Passport. Those wishing to camp at Horner will have to supply details (probably a photocopy) of the Event Passport.
